Fukushima Daiichi Radioactive Tank Leak To Pacific Far Worse Than Admitted

TEPCO has admitted that the radioactive sludge leak from the H4 tank farm last August was more than three times worse than admitted. TEPCO has already been under fire for hiding or downplaying information leading up to the IOC decision on who would host the next summer Olympics in September.

The leak was initially rated at 80 million becquerels of strontium 90, part of which leaked into the Pacific. At this rate the NRA had declared the leak an INES 3 on the international nuclear accident scale. The now admitted leak was upgraded to be 280 million becquerels of strontium 90 in the 300 tons of leaked water.
