TEPCO Books 438 Billion Yen Profit

TEPCO again books a profit, this time about 438 billion yen. The company recently received another injection of government money. Comments on the news in a recent article were mostly outrage. Taxpayers are largely footing the bill for the disaster. Impacted residents are still trying to obtain compensation for their losses. Allowing shareholders to benefit from TEPCO’s creative accounting practices doesn’t seem to be going over well with anyone but TEPCO.
