Health Ministry To Give Fukushima Workers Free Annual Cancer Screening For Life

The Health Ministry in Japan has decided any worker exposed to over 100 mSv will get free yearly cancer screenings for life. To date 99 workers have hit that level of exposure. Those who were exposed to 50 mSv or higher will qualify for annual cataract screenings. The ministry is attempting to create a database of all workers along with their contact information in order to track their ongoing health. There was no word how any of this would relate to potential occupational compensation for their potential health problems.
